Review of Immortal Beloved (1994) by Shaun I — 26 Jun 2008
A breathless, powerful film. The great actor that is Gary Oldman gives the performance of his career here. The use of Beethoven's music in this film to tell the story is a wonder. The scene in the lake and the stars, set to the ninth symphony, is one of my favourite scenes in any movie.
