Review of Immortal Beloved (1994) by P. P — 04 May 2012
I enjoyed this opulent film and pleasurably there are some of my favourite compositions on the soundtrack. Ironic that Beethoven created his most joyous symphony at a time when his life was so painful.
This movie was sad but a compelling look at human impulses, passion and contradictions. Gary Oldman is wonderful as the prickly Ludwig.
