Review of Immortal (2004) by Jean Y — 24 May 2006
Like mirrormask, this movie is a visual masterpeice that is only slightly rough around the edges due to some less the perfect computer artists. unlike mirrormask, it's also full of great acting and has a decent script, not to mention useing sigor ros' music was a perfect mix. the only problem is unfortunatly a major one. by the end of the film, you have very little idea of what you just saw. oh, you have fond recolletions, you may even have followed part of the plot, but no one, not even enki bilal, has any idea what it was all about.
The strange thing is, in my case, thats part of the appeal.
