Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Monique R — 14 Dec 2007
If I had a bowling alley, sirk would bowl a straight 300. He knows drama, real drama. Just like Pimp C knows short dog...the real short dog. I'm always up for a story about emotionally unavailable mothers.
This one was great because it covered two sides of being emotionally unavailable.1. Being selfish and more interested in ones own life than their child 2. acting too much like a "mom" to the point where you distance yourself from your child.
This was a great 124 minutes. And if you don't understand why a mother can be horrible...then, I probably think you are a cocksucker anyway.
