Glossy remake of a more realistic Claudette Colbert-film of the 30es. But this version certainly has a lot going for it including a most handsome leading couple - Turner and Gavin - and two Oscar-nominated supporting actresses Susan Kohner and the wonderful Juanita Moore.
Best moment though belongs to Mahalia Jackson and her soulful singing at a funeral.
