Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Teaundra — 01 Jul 2008
The only character that I like is the housemaid, the mother of the ungrateful daughter who is ashamed of her roots. The ending is at most heartbreaking and sad. The first half of the film is more interesting than the last half, and the film tends to be draggy at times.
And just when I thought that over-the-top Hollywood acting couldn't be any more exaggerated, I watch this film with some of the most over-acted performances that I have ever seen.
