Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Harlani S — 15 Feb 2014
Not as melodramatic as it seems. Surprisingly has greater detail than the original by Claudette Colbert (1934) and still effectively conveys the important racial prejudice message. Is it only me or Lana Turner really looks like Deborah Kerr in this movie?! :-).
