Review of Imitation of Life (1934) by Brian I — 16 Mar 2008
I really love this movie. it seems so open minded and progressive for the time it was made, and the two lead actresses are superb. claudette colbert is such a modern woman for her time; she reminds me of maggie gyllenhaal.
louise beavers is a well of comfort. definitely a must see (the 1934 version).
