Review of IMAX Hubble (2010) by Ross M — 17 Sep 2010
WOW !!!! this was really good. Saw this today at the IMAX in sydney and are very glad that I did. The effort that the astronauts go thru in their training and having to learn all the in's and out's of their craft.
I can only imagine what it must be like to do that for a living !! What a invention the hubble space telescope is. The detail that it can now pick up is mind - boggling !! It really made me think about the fact that we on earth can't be the only intelligent ? beings in this huge universe.
It has lenses that can see so far away that it captures stars and planets that died long ago. I'm a real space nerd so I'm really into these sort of documentaries. Favourite scene is where the two astronauts are out doing the 2nd or 3rd space walk and they are trying to remove a handle from a panel and the damn thing won't budge.
They get told to just rip the handle off, which they do like it they were back on earth.
