Review of Imagine That (2009) by Michael B — 14 Feb 2010

I'm a sucker for Eddie Murphy family movies. I'm not sure why, they're not terribly clever or overly funny, but I just enjoy them. They somehow remind me how going to a movie is meant to get you away from the problems in YOUR life and see someone else's problems.

I enjoy Eddie's brand of humor and have since I was a kid. I don't think this was as good as Daddy Day Care, but that's mostly because the supporting cast didn't quite fit their roles as well.

The performance by Yara was okay, but I've seen a lot better from child actresses and more recently. Overall, a decent movie, but glad I didn't pay to see it at the theatre.
