Review of Imagine Me & You (2006) by Ed S — 03 Oct 2007
A cute little Brit rom-com with a twist. I'd rate it higher if its script didn't pander to the US audience quite so much (we simply don't say "I had to bale" over here) and didn't adhere quite so closely to the standard Richard Curtis-esque rom-com formula, replete with mad dash at the end where everything works itself out.
That and a few scenes felt a bit flat and uninvolving, but I enjoyed it overall - lots of nice performances and a romance that didn't feel forced. I'd probably watch it again, which is an absolutely glowing endorsement from me when it comes to this kind of film.
