Review of Imagine Me & You (2006) by David G — 19 Jan 2008

I'm not usually such a big fan of romantic comedies, but this movie actually managed to win me over in a big way. It starts off with a wedding, and at that wedding the bride happens to meet the love of her life -- who happens to be another woman.

The subject matter is handled with wit and charm, the dialogue is super, the characters adorable... I might have wished a small change in the ending, but otherwise I really liked it. I was also relieved that the men in the film were not painted as giant ogres, which would be so easy to do in a movie like this.

If you can handle the idea of a lesbian romance (I know -- shock! horror!) then you really need to see this film sometime.
