Review of Imagine Me & You (2006) by Beautifulmnd05 B — 19 Feb 2009

I picked this movie up on a whim, not knowing who was in it or anything about the plot. I didn't even read the back of the box. I was just in Blockbuster and literally thought 'isn't that a Beatles song?' and bam.

Rented it. Good thing rentals are only a buck. But I totally would have paid more for this. It's such a pretty story of love blossoming in the most unexpected of places. It's charming and beautiful and the characters are so finely crafted.

Everything about this is endearing and touching. Anthony Stewart Head popped up, which was a welcomed surprise, and delivered a stunningly powerful and sincerely emotional performance that left me floored.

Maybe because I can relate to that kind of relationship a bit too much? Ah, parents. In any case... just a great, loving film.
