Review of Imagine Me & You (2006) by Moya W — 11 Jan 2011
I wouldn't say that Imagine Me & You is one of those typical gay movies. I wouldn't even go as far as to say that it is a gay movie at all. I'd rather say that it's a movie about unexpected love.
That it happens to be a love between two women is a whole other story. It's about love at first sight and the fact that two women fall for each other is more of a coincidence.
That's what I like about this movie. I really liked the chemistry between Rachel and Luce and throughout the movie I could really understand that they were falling for each other and why. But I could also feel chemistry between Rachel and Heck. So when watching the movie you didn't really know who you wanted her to end up with, but I personally thought that was a good thing. That you were on both sides, liking both couples.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was different and fun to be able to see a comedy that took up this subject for a change, it changed the whole idea in a way and made the movie really entertaining.
I also loved Piper Perabo's british accent, if you didn't know better you would've thought it was real.
Highly recommended!
