Review of Imagine Me & You (2006) by Munzo M — 12 Nov 2011
When I first saw the cover of this movie, I thought right, it's going to be a 'married woman falls in love with another woman, woman loses married woman, then married woman gets back with husband' kind of tale, however the fact it has Piper Perabo ( who achieved Dyke Icon status for her performance in Lost & Delirious) and Lena Headey, (hello she played iconic Sarah Connor) and they have acted together before in unfortunately a crappy movie called The Cave I thought I'd give it a go.
Well I loved it! A gorgeous, well acted and well written romantic comedy where the 'girl does get the girl', thus the only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because all it needed was a real love scene.
..but then it is a romantic comedy, not a drama. Well worth watching, as gay or straight, it is at heart a true soul mate story which has universal appeal especially if you are at heart a romantic like me - and Piper and Lena make a delicious couple too.
