Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Paul A — 16 Dec 2010
When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter whether this was staged or not, this is brilliant. Life imitating art imitating life as art. The amount of dedication that JP put into the fictional character of himself is great. The lines between fact and fiction are so muddled that you can't help but be entranced with where this film goes, which is sort of nowhere, but the journey there is fantastic. If you get anything out of this, it's certainly from the film's final shot which says so much by saying nothing at all.
Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Watching in a group is probably best for this. Enjoy!
