Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Rochelle H — 16 Mar 2012
The fact the doc(mock)umentary was filmed as an elaborate hoax and involved Joaquin Phoenix acting crazy publicly for a few months adds an element of realness so far removed from a non-celebrity's reality and so unimaginable to us that it couldn't possibly be recreated.
Not particularly brilliant as far as dialogue and storylines are concerned, but the mere exposure to the subject matter and the new perspective it provides in regards to the lives of celebrities makes it a worthy watch.
Solid, solid acting from Joaquin Phoenix.
