I like his dedication to the role of actor slowly losing his mind and throwing his life away for a terrible decision, but too many things work against this idea.

#1-Do I care enough about Joaquin Phoenix? No. Not really. I respect him as an actor, and he was well deserved of his nominations for his portrayal of Johnny Cash, but I don't care about him enough to want to watch his life unravel fake or otherwise.

#2-Did the movie make me want to care about him more? Not at all. In fact, I wasn't so much intrigued to keep watching as I was waiting to see if something would ever happen to make this movie redeem itself.

#3-Was it the right idea to reveal its unauthentic nature? No Not so soon anyway. The buzz would be bigger if it lasted longer...It was well edited, but must have taken forever. This movie was filmed late 2008-early 2009 and we are just now getting it. Step on the gas or keep it hush hush longer.

#4-What did I learn? That I probably wouldn't want to meet Joaquin Phoenix and that he kind of sounds like a jerk. A great actor....but I think some of his true colors came out throughout all of the B.S.

Best line in the movie comes from Diddy and is directed toward Casey Affleck behind the camera calling the Assassination of Jesse James "whack" now that was awesome!
