Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Josh S — 17 Dec 2010
I rented this from iTunes after it's limited theater release, I watched it three times in a 24-hour period on my iPhone, and I bought it the day it was released on Blu-Ray. It's now apparent how much I love this film.
Joaquin Phoenix has done a really brilliant thing here. He was in character for 18 months and fooled us all. I'm reminded of a Andy Kaufman-esque stunt, but way more elaborate. The depiction of a star wallowing in a seemingly bottomless pit of despair was so flawlessly portrayed.
I got goosebumps, that's not easy to do.
