What a disappointment....I had read all the criticism towards this movie, but as an Almodóvar fan, I still had to see the movie for myself. I knew this was a return to his roots, to those "kitsch" comedies he made back in the 80's, but if this is no 'All About My Mother', it doesn't even come close to the brilliant and seductive farce 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' either.

The movie is as colorful as any film by Almodóvar, and it has its usual parade of over the top characters, and I get it that it is supposed to be an allegory of the current financial and political situation in Spain; but it is unbelievable that a Director with such a fertile imagination, who has achieved such heights of perfection and attention to detail, would create such a lazy, vulgar and unfunny movie such as this.

Worst Almodóvar film I have ever seen.
