Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Aishath Z — 27 Jan 2009
Whether ur a longtime fan of Dylan who's educated in his persona[s], or someone watching this with little foreknowledge of him, you'll appreciate this movie 4 different reasons. All the stories r interesting and they give the audience an interesting puzzle in putting all of them 2gether 2 come up with the real life person.
However the movie isn't an introspective character study of Dylan as much as it is a play on our perceptions of him. The artist has 2 change & we feel like the audience who's relenting 2 keep up with his life.
This movie also inspired me 2 write my own memoir someday by writing stories about multiple people, but I'm a long way from even brainstorming that :).
