Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Zachary T — 13 Jun 2009
GENIUS. This is the best way to tribute Bob Dylan through film. The directing, acting, writing, cinematography, the music, and overall style of this film is an absolute work of art. Cate Blanchett is unbelievable in this.
She captures Bob Dylan's essence completely, and makes it look like a piece of cake. She will win the Oscar. Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere, Ben Whishaw, and Marcus Carl Franklins are all fantastic as the other Dylans.
I haven't watched a film that is this well-acted in a long time. Go see it.
