Cate Blanchett just blew my hair back in this!! I'm talking "Robert Hunter at the House of Blues" BLEW my f**kin' hair back!! The movie is really more of a painting than a film - a song of imagery rather than a chronological narrative.

This is really a beautiful work of art, though not so much a great movie (in the classic sense). If you are looking for a plot, you really won't find one here. What you will find are powerful interpretations from wonderful actors on the life of arguably America's most important artist.

Christian Bale is solid, and the Richard Gere's portion of the work is simply beautiful. I guess without saying the movie has a perfect soundtrack, and the cinematography sincs up amazingly. Make no mistake my friend, it is Cate Blanchett that steals this show though.

Her portrayal of post-folk Dylan is mesmerizing - I just can't say enough. All I can say is that you have to see it to believe it.
