This is an insanely stylized and original take on the life and songs of legendary folk rocker, Bob Dylan...maybe a little too stylized for some people.

6 different people play Dylan: A black child, a cowboy, and even a woman...playing a man. It jumps around the entire time, going from his folk roots to his controversial switch to electric, it is very hard to follow...which is it's biggest problem, but that doesn't make it a bad film, its just damn hard to get. I am a huge Bob Dylan fan, and I think it will be even harder for non-fans to understand. Cate Blanchett gave an Oscar-nominated performance that will be talked about for years, it is simply amazing. Heath Ledger, like always, totally rocked it. Ben Whishaw's Dylan is the closest thing to the actual man I believe.

Is it wierd? Yes. Is it hard to follow? Yes. Is it good? Yes. It's just one of those films you have to watch to fully understand. I recommend it for everyone, just to see what they think of this stylized modern day hidden gem.
