Review of I'm Not Scared (2003) by Sanguinis L — 04 Oct 2009
A child taking on the responsibility of an adult. Incredible effort on the part of the child actors here, especially the young lead and the trapped boy. Strong story based on real life poverty in the Italian countryside at the time portrayed in this movie.
No melodrama here, realism to the core. There's great tension running through the whole film. A slow builder, and that suits me fine, as long as the content is as great as this. I think this is a forgotten little gem, that everybody should see.
Poverty and morale.
