Review of I'm Not Scared (2003) by Allen G — 11 Apr 2013
The setting is a hot Southern Italian small town. The child of a man involved in a kidnapping accidentally befriends the child being kidnapped and held in a hole in the ground of a wheat field. Masterfully directed by Salvatores who skilfully builds and intense atmosphere also by using the setting as a key element in the film, I'm Not Scared is an original thriller drama which uses the theme of the friendship of two children as a symbol of innocence in a crime corrupted criminal Southern Italy.
The acting too is superb.
