Review of I'm Not Ashamed (2016) by Joell S — 21 Oct 2016
Last night we went and saw I'm Not Ashamed about Rachel Joy Scott and I was very pleased with this film. There's been a lot of controversy surrounding this movie, but I'm telling you this is a MUST see, the sooner the better so it has a chance of staying in theaters.
The shooting Columbine High School is a topic very near and dear to my heart, living in Colorado around the time it happened, and I believe that the movie portrayed the events very tastefully, and very factually according to the research I have done.
I also was relieved to see the way they portrayed Rachel's humanness in her walk with Christ similar to the way so many of our teens experience today. PLEASE GO SEE THIS MOVIE and support the movement of bringing to light the importance of showing love and compassion in a world that is broken and confused.
Rachel wanted more that anything to make a difference and through her story, she is able to fulfill that mission, even if she's not alive to see it.
