Review of I'm for the Hippopotamus (1979) by Tero H — 18 Oct 2012
Just a list of pluses and minuses for this classic Bud Spencer & Terence Hill slapstick comedy:
+ colorful and has lots of personality, human feeling, not just a quick cardboard-like film invention.
- the goons are all the same, its all too repetitive and it is not clear what this and that scene are about.
+ as a Bud Spencer and Terence Hill comedy it is quite funny.
- but it is also way too long for this kind of goofing-around: not exactly boring, but almost.
In short: original, funny, but repetitive and occasionally pointless film with a colorful touch and silly fights.
