Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Sylvain F — 27 Jul 2008
An offbeat romantic comedy from the man who created one of my favorites, Oldboy. It's really strange, choosing to take on the view of a mentally unstable girl who believes she's a cyborg who needs to take revenge on the doctors who snatched her grandmother away.
While it is entertaining and very sweet at times, the style can be too much, to the point of being tiresome. Still, it's hard to compare this film to anything I can think of, so kudos for that.
