A rather off-beat romantic comedy, at risk of pulling the "like X meets Y" card, sort of like Amélie crossed with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (no, no, not just going by the setting either), but not quite.
It's frequently amusing and often a treat visually. It does go on a little longer than need be, mind you; I debate the necessity of that last scene (during the storm), and think it might've been better without it, but still it's a very good film in most respects.
