Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Allegra F — 20 Mar 2010
Enjoyably bizarre movie about a girl in a mental hospital who believes she's a cyborg. What makes this stand out from similar films are the scenes we see of her as she imagines herself, as a Terminator-style cyborg attacking the staff. Sadly these are few in number, but they really liven up the film which is otherwise a little slow.
The story also lacks depth; we are introduced to interesting characters in her life explaining why she is as she is, but these are not developed much. The result is it feels like a short story padded into a film. Which is a shame as it could have been so much more.
