Review of Illusions (1992) by Allan C — 23 Nov 2016
Hilariously bad early 1990s made-for-television erotic thriller about mentally ill Heather Locklear returning home to her husband, Robert Carradine, and then getting a visit from his sister, Emma Samms.
Locklear then begins to suspect Carradine and Samms are plotting against her, but are they really or is it her mental illness? I suppose this is a plot that's been done well in the past, but the low budget dream sequences here are just laughably bad as is just about everything else.
This was definitely a so-bad-it's-good kind of film. The film also features Ned Beatty as a folksy handyman. Worse than your average Shanon Tweed/Andrew Stevens erotic thriller (and that's saying something), but definitely worth checking out for fans of bad cinema.
