The kid does okay in his first starring role. His mom gets the MVP award, though. She's pretty interesting. Illegal Tender is as much about a a lioness protecting her cub as it is about a boy becoming a man.
The shootout on the quiet street in broad daylight was dumb, though. Oh, and his girlfriend looked twice his age. Latin gangstas!
