Combine the minds of John Singleton and Franc Reyes and the end result is..."Illegal Tender". This urban gangster movie brings nothing to the table to set it apart from the numerous other films of its genre.
The sex, drugs, violence, revenge theme has been done many times over, yet here we are again. Not to mention depth is definitely not a strong point here, because this plot is about as deep as a kitchen sink.
This could have easily been a straight to DVD flick.
