Review of I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (2003) by John D — 16 Nov 2007
Clive Owen plays as an ex-gangster who returns to London to find the reason behind his brother's death. Introspective crime movie from Mike Hodges (who directed the original Get Carter) moves at its own pace (I think some people are over-exaggerating how slow it is, it moved at a good pace, just not a break neck pace) but offers a lot in its characters and I found it ended quite satisfyingly.
Even when he's searching his own soul Clive Owen is still intense. McDowell has a few great but brief scenes. I highly recommend it but if you're expecting "Snatch" or something along those lines, I wouldn't bother.
