Underrated film-noir, a bleak look at the choices we have against the past that we try to leave behind. a rare gem that has not been understood I think, because the bulk of the thinking needed here is provided in dark silence.

personally, I loved it. the only negative is that it'll always live in the shadows of 'get carter' but hey, that's one of the better shadows to live in. :).
