Review of I'll See You in My Dreams (2015) by Mahlon M — 15 Jul 2015
Most of it's a good bit deeper than the fluffy preview. Yes, it involves older people, with one primary exception; but that doesn't mean some of them don't have anything to say to most of us who'll be going where they are now, or are already there ourselves. For instance, one thing we could learn learn would be how how to heed Franklin's warning, "Some (many?) people die at 25 but aren't buried until 75". Franklin employed his extended longevity better than any other example I can think of.
The use of a 1959 Miles Davis track for the name of Sam Elliott's boat was cool.
--The ending was perfect.--.
