Review of I'll See You in My Dreams (2015) by Thomas P — 27 Dec 2015
It's a nicely preformed grandparent dramedy. Imagine a Lifetime movie done with subtlety, class and restraint..lol.
Sentimental, sweet and lightly melancholy, that deals with relationships for the mature set in a light, humorous way.
Nice to see the ever starchy Rhea Pearlman too.
Original and refreshing, and steers clear of many cliches, but not off the hook with so many loose ends and much left dangling, but no surprise twists or nonsense, but mindful wistful.
NOT for everyone, but great if you like Sam Elliot - nod to my mom - or a light comedy of burgeoning love for a single grandma.
3 porch sunflowers out of 5.
