4.25 stars. A film that just strips you to the bone and inspires you to do something different, Ikiru is a highly original tale from the mind of Akira Kurosawa about a man who finds out he has terminal cancer and decides to do something meaningful with his life.
With a few slow moments that are easily pushed back into the film, Ikiru is a wonderful drama and a testament to the human spirit that will bring a tear to any eyes in the house.
