Review of Ikiru (1952) by Martin T — 03 Feb 2010
Extremely good movie. I think I like best of Kurosawa's work. Ikiru has similar themes to his other movies, but having it set in modern times make it resonate more. The basic plot is that a bureaucrat finds out he has stomach cancer and realizes he has been wasting his life.
So he decides he should do something with what time he has left.
