Review of If I Were King (1938) by Anthony V — 06 Dec 2007
Ronald Colman turns in a dashing performance as poet Francois Villon battling for his beloved Paris in 13th century France. For Basil Rathbone fans, it is an unexpected treat--an unusual departure from his typical villainous role into broader comedy.
A most enjoyable movie!
