Review of If I Stay (2014) by Aragorn K — 12 Feb 2016

If I Stay's strength lies in the strength of its core cast (Moretz, Blackley, Liberato), but the thin story, overreliance on flashbacks, and glacial pacing can't be concealed by the talent on the screen, whether from its powerful core cast or its exceptional supporting cast (especially Keach).

For a movie that is, at its core, a tragedy-romance, it surprisingly lacks the emotional punch that would have elevated it, if only a little.
