Another movie based off a book. Unfortunately I haven't read the book to do a fair comparison, but I thought the movie was pretty good. The different flashbacks could be a little confusing and the way that Mia was portrayed while in her "other body" was a bit odd. This movie follows the story of a relationship between Mia and Adam, who are both very talented musicians. I wasn't expected the music angle and it was very well done and added a greater sense of realism to the film. Their struggles throughout their relationship seemed believable and genuine. This kind of reminded me of an indie film and the ending further jived with that. There are a couple of sucker punches to your emotions, but if you've read the books I'm sure you know what to expect. I've hear there are a couple scenes not in the books that were very well done in the movie.

Lastly, Chloe Moretz does a great job narrating (the story is told from her point of view) and giving a grounder, real, intelligent performance. She's definitely becoming a favorite of mine with movies like Kick-Ass, The equalizer and Carrie. Great range.
