This film was art. Barry Jenkins sophomore film was so deftly rich with layers of beauty. The pacing of the film allowed the story to gently unfold. The characters each unfolded the story with such dignity-breathtaking. The greatest thing Barry Jenkins did with directing these brilliant actors is to allow the viewer to see the humanity and vulnerability of each character. The hues, coloring and lighting, pacing gently wooed the viewer into.
An emotional connection with the love story and the sting of injustice. Brilliant film.
