Review of if.... (1968) by Yogesh R — 13 Aug 2007
All that vaguely symbolic surrealism that was so trendy in the '60s doesn't hold up well today (see also "Blowup"), but there's still some interesting stuff in this tale of repression and rebellion in the English public school system, mainly the performances from Anderson's stock company (Jeffrey, Crowden, Lowe, et al.), plus a starmaking turn from McDowell.
Oh, and that "tiger" scene in the cafe was HOT.
