Boys' boarding school's pupils rise against the authorities in this weird, satirical film that gradually slips from realism to fantasy - it's Vigo's "Zero de conduite" set in 1960's Britain.
I'd read about this true cult film in numerous filmographies before finally seeing it and I can now understand what all the fuss is about: it's very much a film of its times, one that you'll either love or hate depending of your personal history.
