Review of Idlewild (2006) by Laura P — 30 Jun 2007
I went to see Idlewild mainly for the music and dancing and it turns out that there is actually little of either, however what little there was was well done. The movie was definitely different, both from what I expected and from other movies, but I liked it.
The characters were very well developed and I found myself drawn up into the story in a very emotional way. There was actually one point where I found it difficult to stop crying; it's a good thing that I went to see this one by myself.
The visual effects were interesting and added an extra dimension to the story. I am sure that I will pick this one up on DVD when it comes out.
