It seems like there have been a bunch of attempts by musicians to do what Eminem did in 8 Mile, and it hasn't worked. This was an atrocious movie that in many spots was almost exactly like a minstrel show.
I wonder if Spike Lee saw this, he'd think his movie Bamboozled had come to fruition.
