Review of Idlewild (2006) by Rachael B — 23 Jun 2009
This is what happens when musicians make movies. The musical numbers are great, although the score is a little too cheesy and sentimental. The lighting is great, but the shot direction outside of the music numbers is pretty basic, and even the dance numbers are shot like music videos, so it's nothing new.
The acting isn't great and Terence Howard looks like he can't believe what he's doing in this movie. I hope he made some money off of this.
