Review of Idle Hands (1999) by Rcavey92212 — 03 Apr 2020
I remember seeing this when it first hit theaters. It was Friday night and the theater was empty. And me and my friends had a blast. Revisiting it now I still think it's a hell of a good time and having met a very hunky Devon Sawa (Fanatic) recently and seeing how cool he is.
I really appreciate the physicality of his demanding performance. His friends are perfect as well the ageless Seth Green (Buffy) and Elden Henson (Daredevil). Jessica Alba (Sin City) is a usual mess and most of all Vivica A.
Fox (Kill Bill) rules. The movie doesn't take itself seriously and neither should you. The film centers around a young stoner whose hand gets possessed by a demon and uncontrollably kills in very brutal, goretastic ways.
Fox is the druid demon huntress. The movie is a riot. It's clever while it's being silly and the finale is a blast at the high school Halloween dance. So if you haven't seen this cult classic it's definitely time.
